LCD Display
Large LCD backlit 4 x 20 character display that’s easy to view in all lighting conditions including direct sunlight and night time. Displays trip status, fare amount, driver details and more.
Keyboard
Fully sealed tactile membrane 27-key keyboard (including 5 programmable keys). Pre-programmed keys include numbers 0 to 9, rider type, class type, trip type and several others.
Fare Rules Processor
Able to compute simple to complex fare rules including:
• Flat fares
• Zone-based fares
• Time of day pricing
• Discounts (e.g. based on passenger type, multiple trip purchase, special events, etc)

Thermal Printer
High-speed thermal printer with programmable full or partial cut for issuing paper tickets and / or transfers. Drivers can easily change the paper roll with one hand. Printer is low-maintenance.
Housing & Locking Cradle
Sealed and rugged housing with lockable steel mounting cradle. Cradle has multiple sets of pre-drilled holes for easy installation.
Power Supply
Built-in transient, 12/24 volt supply with over/under and reverse voltage protection. The TFS1200 can be wired with the vehicle’s ignition system for on / off control. There is also an onboard backup battery which provides up to 10 years of data retention.
Contactless Smart Card Processor
Built-in ISO 14443 contactless smart card processor. Industry-based MiFare technology. Works with MiFare hard plastic and disposable smart cards.
